I just want to wish all of my U.S. readers a happy and safe independence day (not that I have a ton of readers…or any at all, yet)! I’m about to head out to lunch with my best friend (who I haven’t seen in months…!) at Tim Horton’s where I’m hoping to keep it relatively cheap. Probably just a cup of soup and a drink. I dunno. I’ll let you know how that goes…I haven’t eaten out in a few weeks (which is good because we used to eat out in lieu of me cooking dinner).

So a little self indulgence won’t hurt the budget too badly. Plus? I miss girl time with her. She’s having a baby in August and I haven’t seen her baby belly in quite a while! It’s been a while since I’ve had someone to gossip with.

Other than that, we don’t really have any plans for today. Weird, I know. But none of our family live right near us, and we’re actually going to a bigger fireworks display TOMORROW night about an hour or so away from us. We’ve never been to this one, but it’s on the water and we’re meeting up with some friends so I’m hoping it will be as good as I’ve always heard it is!
