If you take a look at the vacation fund progress bar over there in the side column, you’ll see that it went from some 85% down to roughly 30% since yesterday. I had to “borrow” $388 from it to pay for my eye exam, contact lenses, and new glasses (frames and lenses) today, which was more expensive than I thought it was going to be. Unfortunately.
Fortunately, I had that money sitting in savings so that I could use it to pay my bill. And also, fortunately, I will be able to make payments back into the vacation fund so that we will still have the $700 before we leave for Myrtle Beach in September.
I’m just glad we didn’t have to put that nearly $400 onto a credit card. That would’ve been bad considering we’ve done so well this month with not using them (unless we use it for gas then send a payment online the same day…I like the perks of getting points on our MyPoints Visa card).
