First of all I’d like to thank the bloggers over at ExpoTV for mentioning me in their blog today in regards to my entry I wrote earlier (see: here’s your time to shine). That’s so awesome and I’m glad to be a part of the ExpoTV community! Have you joined yet? If not, you should! It’s fun and easy!
Second of all, I took advantage of some awesome coupon savings at Wal-Mart today. Now, I don’t usually shop at Wal-Mart (hard feelings, was fired from there, long story, blah blah blah) but I couldn’t help but go there this afternoon and get the following items:
- 2 bags of Purina Cat Chow - $4.18 each - two $4 coupons = $.36
- 2 boxes of Kashi cereal - $3.24 each - two $2 coupons = $2.48
- 1 box of Honey Bunches of Oats - $2.50 - $2 coupon = $.50
- 2 Johnson & Johnson Buddies - $.87 each - $2/2 coupon = FREE
Well, the J&J Buddies SHOULD’VE been free, but she didn’t scan the coupon and I didn’t realize it until I got home. That’ll teach me to look at my receipt before I leave the store. I think she actually scanned it, but because the coupon was for MORE than the purchase price, she didn’t hit the right button to accept the coupon so it rejected it. Oh well, live and learn. I still only spent $5.69 OOP (including tax).
I printed 3 more of the cat food coupons from here, and I have some more of the J&J Bath Buddies coupons (get yours here) so I plan to give those as stocking stuffers for Dave’s little brother and sister for Christmas (plus give some to my friend who has 6 kids between herself and her new husband!).
Not a bad day.
