The only categories I’m really concerned with are the ones in blue. Groceries were a bit over budget. I did one major grocery trip for roughly $50 and then picked up a few smaller things here and there, but I’d like to keep this down around $45-50, so I’ll watch that next week. We did stock up on Coke for Dave since it was on sale two 24pk for $10, so that pushed it up a little higher than normal. Oh! I just remembered that I will be getting back rebates for some of the groceries in the amount of $5.22, so that puts my groceries in at $57.55, which isn’t too bad.

A lot of the household supply category was me using coupons that were going to expire to stock up on stuff we’d end up buying in the long run anyway, but I’ll try to watch that in the future, also.

The only reasons that the “beer & liquor” and “dining out” categories are high are because we had a little bit of a party on Friday night and ordered pizza ($14.96 for two pizzas and breadsticks - I had coupons!) and I bought 2 bottles of liquor to make mixed drinks. But these should last quite a while as they were fifths of liquor. So that expense will spread itself over the next few months (not big drinkers here).

I have to say I’m impressed with the pet food, though. That was for 5 of the smaller bags of Purina Cat Chow that were originally $4.18 each, but I had five $4 off coupons. Nice deal, huh? :)
