I should maybe set some goals like this, but I think I will wait a couple of months and see how things settle down...I've already noticed that I have been spending a lot less money lately just because of my site (don't want to own up to it so I don't spend it) also, I will be gone for a few weeks and that will through everything off for this month and then my income will change a bit in September...it is certainly a great idea to have goals though...even better to make a plan (like you have) and stick to it.

Lately I've been waiting until the last minute possible to buy things when I need them...I think hmmm, will it really be that bad if i go a few days without this or that? I don't buy anything because it's on sale unless it's REALLY good (like close to free or something we'll get a lot of use out of)

My hubby wanted to go grocery shopping the other day and i wouldn't let him. I am waiting until we're out of milk before I go again.

Those are some solid goals. I like the way you not only listed the goal, but you also listed how you plan to achieve it. Great job and good luck on meeting your goals.

I think it's great that you're setting a maximum price to spend at the drugstores each week.

When I first discovered drugstore deals, I went way overboard and spent too much out of pocket (even though I was getting great deals!) Since I had enough stockpiled, these purchases weren't immediately necessary. I would have been better off spending less and putting more money toward paying off the credit card.

Oh well, live and learn!

This is exactly why I'm setting a limit. Now that I'm stockpiled with enough stuff for a while, I don’t want to continue going overboard on purchases. I think I'll be able to get away with even less than $15 OOP after rebates unless there are some deals on stuff we aren't stockpiled on. This month was great, and I'm getting back $50 from Rite Aid SCR and another $15 from Walgreens. -Tiffanie
