Every Friday I share with you my favorite blog articles from fellow PF bloggers. Here’s a great way to end the week and head into a hopefully fun and relaxing weekend. Enjoy!
- Moolanomy tackles the ever popular debate of whether or not to start an emergency fund or pay off debt. I personally created a $1500 cushion in the emergency fund and then switched over to a focus of debt payoff.
- NCN from No Credit Needed shows the importance of a will and shows the readers how his will is structured. I don’t have a will yet, but Dave and I also don’t have any children.
- LuLuGal from How I Save Money touches base on the three principles of personal finance. Are you following these principles or do you have some work to do?
- David from My Two Dollars sets a prime example of why health insurance is important and why he’s thankful for having it. I agree with him completely as I’ve had some medical issues pop up out of the blue in the past year (nothing like being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease at the age of 24 to shock you into reality!).
- The Happy Rock asks a great question: What does financial simplicity feel like? I hope to someday feel completely at ease with the simplicity of living frugally and happily.
- Lynnae at Being Frugal reminds us that Christmas is really just around the corner and shows us some great Christmas ideas and how to start saving. I think I’ll be doing homemade goody baskets for our families this year since we’re on such a tight budget with me not working.
- Frugal Dad warns readers not to be a self-righteous frugalist. As a newcomer to the frugal community, I can learn from his advice.
- Trent from The Simple Dollar shows what he has observed when it comes to the value (and cost) of experiences. He reminds us that life isn’t about the stuff you have, but about the things you do. Just don’t let the things you do ruin the budget!
- Richard from Student Scrooge takes a closer look at the Best Buy Reward Zone Program. I happen to be one of the “elite” members and I love the program.
- Ashley from Wide Open Wallet reminds us to not take for granted the things we have and realize that in reality, we live better than kings!
