darn you, hurricane hannah

Well, good ol’ Hannah is heading straight towards South Carolina and Myrtle Beach and is planned to hit on Saturday, so I’m thinking that flying in Monday morning isn’t the brightest idea. The governor is asking for a voluntary evacuation and everything.

So much for our week long vacation in Myrtle Beach next week for our 2 year wedding anniversary!

I’m about to cancel that trip and rebook somewhere else (Las Vegas? Hawaii? Ha, I’m dreaming on that one, but maybe I’ll get lucky!)

Should’ve known better than to book a vacation during hurricane season right down there in hurricane alley.

I’m so sad…

I live about an hour north of Myrtle Beach … honestly, it looks like it’s going to be a small storm. If you’re flying in Monday, it probably wouldn’t affect your vacation much at all, other than some rain.

I don’t know what your plans are, though, so if you were hoping for a week on the beach, you’re probably right. But if it’s going to be expensive to change your trip or you still want to go for it, I don’t think you’d be in any danger by Monday.

I love, love, love Myrtle Beach. Had some great vacations there as a kid - hope the storm takes it easy on the good people there.

I actually live in South Carolina and was planning on going to the Bahamas next Wednesday on vacation.
