I haven’t done drugstore deals in a few weeks, but decided to take advantage of a few at Walgreens this afternoon.

Transaction #1
- 3 Robitussin cough syrup: $5 each - $3 coupon for each = $6.36 with tax (used gift card to pay). Generated a $10 register reward coupon, so I made $3.64 on this transaction.
Transaction #2
- 6 bags of Russel Stover chocolate: $3.29 each = $19.74
- 2 Wags brand Ibuprofen (B1G1 free): $6.99
- Excedrin gel caps: $3.99 with $3.99 rebate = FREE
- Total: $30.78 before coupons
- Used two B2G1 free on the candy, saved me $6.58
- Used the $10 RR from transaction #1
- New total: $14.20 (paid with gift card)
I admit that I didn’t really need the candy, but I had the coupons and I like a piece of chocolate ocassionally after dinner. Those bags will last me quite a while (I keep ‘em in the fridge so I can have a cold treat). It’s not like I bought ‘em and am going to chow down on all of them in the next week haha. So even though it wasn’t a necessity, I DID go to the store with the intention of buying it, so it WASN’T an impulse buy. :) And I still have $13.28 left on my gift card!
