Meijer has some good deals this week on grocery and health and beauty items. Just gonna do a quick run down because I was excited about these deals!
- 2 L’Oreal face cleansers B1G1 free = 5.99
- 2 L’Oreal TruMatch foundation B1G1 free = 8.94
- 2 plain white long sleeved tees (for work) = 7.98
Ended up paying $21.54 for all this after taxes and my employee discount. Receipt says that I saved $25.52 on this transaction! Not too shabby. Here are some of the highlights of my big grocery trip:
- Baking supplies (chocolate chips, coconut, Andes Mint chips, brown sugar) - most were 3/$5
- 4 pasta sauce ($.99 each)
- 5 cans of fruit ($1 each)
- 12 cans of green beans (3/$1 or $.33 cents each)
- 12 cans of corn (3/$1 or $.33 cents each)
- 12 cans of kidney beans (5/$3 or $.60 cents each)
- 2-12 packs of soda ($2 each)
- 6 containers of cat litter - 84 lbs total ($2.99 each)
- 3 shredded cheddar (3/$5 or $1.67 each)
Throw in some other odds and ends in there (milk, eggs, etc) and we spent $85. But now I’ve got enough canned goods to last me quite some time. Receipt says that we saved $35.49 on this transaction! And the kitty litter! What a steal! We normally spend about $13 for 35 pounds of litter (37 cents per pound) and we ended up getting 84 pounds for just under $18 (21 cents per pound).
Just wish I had more room to store nonperishables…I would’ve bought more of the canned goods. Spent more than I normally would, but our entire grocery list this week consisted of one item…hot dog buns. Seriously. So I took advantage of the deals and stocked up. Couldn’t help myself!
