I didn’t realize how busy I would be once classes started, but I’m finding it hard to come up with ideas to blog about every day!  It’s slightly frustrating.  Not to mention, going back to work (and they actually have me scheduled for FIVE days next week instead of the typical TWO they’ve been working me).

So I’m seriously falling behind and I feel horrible about it.

Also, I’ve been having these urges to just go out and spend money.  I’ve controlled them for the most part, but we have spent quite a bit on groceries so far this month because I’ve taken advantage of two huge sales and stocked up on canned goods and nonperishables and whatnot.  Still, put us over budget.  October is looking to be a challenging month for me…

Without further ado, some of the great posts that I did get around to reading this week:

Paul from Wise Bread gives an honest look at separating the wants from the needs, especially in economic times such as these.

NCN from No Credit Needed tells how he lives without borrowing money.  He’s gone four years without using a credit card!  I’m impressed.

Kacie from Sense to Save celebrated one year of blogging and tells of the lessons she’s learned on that road, and what’s in store for the future.  Congrats!

Karen from Living Well On Less gives a great list of items to double check when leaving on vacation, mostly on how to prepare your kitchen before you leave.

Gather Little by Little shares a great story on appreciating what you have, with lessons that were learned from when his son volunteered to cook for a homeless shelter.
