I got a coupon in the mail for $15 off a purchase of $50 or more from Meijer since a new store just opened up near me.  I decided to go get a few things that I had been eyeing, and I was able to save a decent chunk of money.

I got a new shower head for $19.99 and also a Brita faucet filtration system for $19.99.  I had to spend at least $50, so I picked up some cat treats for $1.67, a car air freshener for $2.99 and three 12 packs of pop for $11 (like to have it on hand for when we have guests over).  So after all was said and done, I only spent $42.  It was basically like buying the water filtration system and the shower head, and getting the rest for FREE.

My only complaint is that the shower head doesn’t have as much pressure as our old one, but our old one was cracked and often came flying off when you tried to adjust it.  So we really needed a new one.  It will just take a little time to get used to the lower pressure, but it has 6 settings, which is 5 more than our old one! 

And I love the Brita faucet system.  This will save us on buying bottled water!  Not that I buy a lot of it anyway, but it’s at least one cost we won’t incur.  And the faucet attachment filters 40 gallons of water, which is pretty nice.

I’m satisfied with my purchases!
